- Jun 7-10th – Annual Conference – LaVista
- June 8th – 9:00am – 3:00pm -KOLN/KGIN “Can Care A Van” food drive at Pac N Save – collecting food
- June 11th – Hymn Sing Worship Service, followed by a Potluck meal in the Fellowship Hall
- June 26th to 29th – Evenings – ‘Dive In’ VBS for ages 3 (preschool) through finished 4th grade.
- June 27th – 6:15-8:15pm. Seward Dowding Swimming Pool Party. Invite everyone!!!
- July 15th – 10:00am-noon Garden Party – details to follow.
- July 23rd – Potluck Meal followed by Fellowship Kickball and Pitch. Invite a friend!
- August 12th – 11:30am-1:30pm – Bring your own picnic at Moffit Park with us. Afterward, head to the Seward County Fair with us.
Annual Conference in LaVista June 7-10th
The Great Plains United Methodist 2023 Annual Conference will be June 7-10th in LaVista, Nebraska. Lay and clergy members will gather to consider and ordain candidates for ministry, review and approve the conference’s 2024 budget, hear and receive reports from various conference ministries, and will consider various petitions and resolutions. Attending from Seward United Methodist Church are Lynette Broderick and Wess Robotham as the lay members, and Pastor Jo Ellen Axthelm and Rev. Mary Kay Totty as the clergy members. These folks will report on Annual Conference during worship on Sunday, June 25th.
‘Dive In’ Summer 2023 Vacation Bible School June26th-29th
This June, we will be exploring the stories of the Bible and learning how we can be courageous, live boldly, and “Dive In” to God’s Love! All are invited and welcome to this Vacation Bible School event hosted by

St. Andrew’s Episcopal
VBS will take place each night beginning Monday, June 26 through Thursday, June 29 from 5:30 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Children aged 3 through those entering 5th grade are welcome to register as participants.
Older youth and adults are needed to fill many volunteer roles to make this event a success. Helpers are needed for Bible story, crafts, games, music, drama, movement, meals, photography, etc. as well as helpers to lead groups of elementary and preschool children to VBS events. Volunteers may register using the same link or QR code.
Please prayerfully consider how you might be able to assist in this years VBS. “Dive In” with us and volunteers, encourage children in your life “Dive In” and attend, and live boldly as you “Dive In” to share God’s Love with all.
