A little about Pastor Robert Perry**
by Robert Perry
A lifelong Methodist, Pastor Robert (yes, he prefers Robert) was born in Wilmington, Delaware, and spent the next 30 years in the Blue Hen state. Growing up, Robert’s interests included Scouting, golfing, sailing, bicycling, and photography. He also thought his childhood pastor had the greatest job in the world.
Robert attended the University of Delaware and received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in 1988. He then worked in bank operations and project management. But, that childhood itch to become a pastor never went away; and in 2004 Robert enrolled at Saint Paul School of Theology in Kansas City. His seminary years were spent commuting between school in Kansas City, and ministry in Nebraska.
Robert received his Master of Divinity degree in 2008, and was ordained in 2010. Prior to serving in Kearney, he served the Nebraska Conference in Osceola, Dawson, and Omaha. In addition to his duties at Faith, Robert is also a member of the Board of Ordained Ministry and has mentored local pastors during their educational process.
Robert is married, and has a son and a step son. The stories he’s gleaned from friends and experiences over the course of his life pop up in sermons from time to time. Jokes do too, but you’ll have to decide for yourself whether to laugh or groan.
