Godparent Program

The Seward United Methodist Godparent Program began in the early 1990’s. A sponsor family from the congregation commit to mentor students from the congregation throughout the four years of high school. The students meet in the family’s home each Wednesday (older group) and Sunday (younger group) evenings during the school year from 7:00-8:00 pm.

The sponsors serves as adult role models for the students. There are curriculum materials available for the sponsors, but often the direction of the group is dependent on the students’ interests. Some of the activities done by past/present Godparent groups include Bible studies, journaling, community service and various outings.

• Class of 2022 & 2023 – Wess and Shannon Robotham, Jed Rojewski
