Cook:
This position is 20-30 hours per week, Monday through Friday, with holidays off.
This person will prepare meals for children ages 6 weeks to school age in accordance with USDA guidelines. Candidates must enjoy introducing new foods and be able to prepare nutritious meals and snacks for all children in attendance.
Other duties include ordering groceries, keeping the kitchen clean and sanitary, and keeping all required records. This person may be called upon to occasionally step into classrooms for limited amounts of time to maintain staff:child ratios.
The ideal candidate will be organized, good at record keeping, self-motivated and love children.
Candidate must pass a background screen.
Teacher:
This position is 20-40 hours per week, depending on the role, with holidays off and PTO (full-time only) after 90 days. We offer competitive wages and flexible hours.
DHHS teacher qualified preferred (or willing to become). On the job training is provided and we can help attain teacher qualification.
Pay is based on education and experience.
Duties:
- Supervise and engage children in age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development.
- Provide care for infants and toddlers, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
- Implement early childhood education practices that support the developmental milestones of each child.
- Assist with daily routines such as feeding, diapering, and napping for younger children.
- Create a welcoming classroom environment that encourages exploration and creativity.
- Maintain open communication with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including first aid procedures.
- Support children with disabilities by adapting activities to meet their individual needs.
Experience:
- Previous experience in childcare or early childhood education is preferred.
- Experience with preschool settings or babysitting is a plus.
- Pediatric First Aid/CPR certification is highly desirable. Willingness to obtain certification necessary.
- Ability to work effectively with children of various ages, including those with disabilities or special needs.
