The Legacy Society was created by the Seward United Methodist Church Foundation to to encourage members to remember our church in their estate planning. Planned gifts are vital instruments which ensure that the message and mission of Jesus Christ will continue for generations to come.
How do I become a Seward United Methodist Church Legacy Society member?
Pick up a Seward United Methodist Church Legacy Society application card at the church office, complete and return it. As you have questions, please contact the Foundation Board Chair. You may also contact the church office.
What are the benefits of becoming a Legacy Society member?
The Legacy Society was created by the Seward United Methodist Church Foundation to better appreciate and recognize members’ generosity and assure that the designated gift will have the impact they intend.
Do I need share details about my gift with the church?
No. Becoming a member allows the Seward United Methodist Church to have on file your intention to include the church in your estate planning. Other than your intention, there is no pressure to make a decision about your estate now. No gift is too small. All gifts share the same purpose which is to make disciples for Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world.
If you prefer to remain anonymous, that preference will certainly be honored.
How is the Seward United Methodist Church Legacy Society administered?
The Legacy Society is a component of the Seward United Methodist Church Foundation. The Foundation follows a balanced investment plan to act as a steward for these gifts with respect for the original donors’ intentions for its use.
