Welcome to Bright Beginnings Child Development Center!

Bright Beginnings Child Development Center is a ministry of Seward United Methodist Church which provides a quality, child-centered and developmentally appropriate environment for babies through school-age children in a Christian setting.

Our mission is to provide a loving, caring Christian environment that fosters individual and educational growth for each stage of a child’s development. We believe every child has a right to quality care, the opportunity to learn, a welcoming environment and supportive supervision.

BBCDC offers an educational experience for all of our students. We strive to develop the children in our care at every stage of their lives through use of the Creative Curriculum, endorsed by the National Association for the Education of Young Children. Our students are exposed to a variety of different learning activities which involve large motor, small motor, sensory, hands on, cognitive, technology and student-centered learning approaches. Hands-on learning and community involvement are encouraged in all our classrooms.

BBCDC is licensed by the State of Nebraska and is committed to providing a positive experience for children and families. Our policies and procedures are non-discriminatory in regard to race, color, national origin, religion and sex. We believe learning is a life-long process that is highly individualized, and our teachers and staff strive to provide a stimulating and developmentally appropriate environment for students of all ages.

BBCDC operates with a Christian mindset to help children broaden their awareness of God’s love for them and the world around them. We believe time spent in outdoor classrooms enables children to learn while exploring God’s beautiful creation.
