Worship & Church Life

Overview

Seward United Methodist Church is a group of ordinary folks trying to follow Jesus. We gather on Sunday mornings for worship, fellowship, and Christian education opportunities. We support one another along our faith journeys. We will weep with those who weep and rejoice with those who rejoice. We celebrate wherever folks are in life — from youngest to oldest.

We have an after school fellowship program for K-4th graders on Wednesdays during the school year. The Middle School youth meet on Wednesday evenings. High schoolers are invited to be a part of a “Godparent Group” which provides weekly youth meetings. Confirmation classes are offered for 8th graders. Faith Community Nurses do monthly blood pressure checks and other health initiatives. Adult Bible studies are offered on Thursday mornings and seasonally. Big events through the year include — Holy Week services including the “Living Last Supper,” Easter sunrise at Junto Winery, Recognition of High School graduates, providing free donuts for the Seward July 4 festivities, fundraising Gala, Trunk or Treat, Bazaar, Christmas Eve services.
